Individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) continue to face significant barriers to achieving meaningful and competitive employment. Research plays a critical role in understanding these challenges and identifying strategies that improve employment outcomes.

This webinar highlights current research being conducted through a Rehabilitation Research and Training Center (RRTC) on Employment for Individuals with IDD. Participants will learn about the goals and focus areas of these studies and how they aim to expand knowledge, inform policy, and strengthen employment supports.

The session will also explore why this research is needed and how it addresses ongoing gaps in employment opportunities and services. In addition, attendees will learn how to access the resources, tools, and materials developed through these studies to support evidence-based practices that promote improved employment outcomes for individuals with IDD.
